I love how there is so much misconception about file encoding and bitrates among music professionals. Neil Young, rest assured, a 320kbps mp3 will sound better than ANYTHING encoded at 192kbps. It's simple math.

Actually, I'll bet you can't tell the difference between a "lowly" 320kbps mp3 and a commercial CD.

When he refers to Neil Young having 192k music available in his car, he's referring to 24 bit, 192 kHz sampled audio, not an mp3 with a 192 kbit/sec bitrate, as those are very different things. Since Neil Young put out his Archives Blu-ray set, and Le Noise on Blu-ray with a 24/192 track, Neil Young knows the vast difference between 24/192 and a 320 kbit/sec mp3 file.
