The Peel universal remote is a combo platter including a transmitter and receiver that keeps in touch with your home network via ZigBee and passes on commands to your gear via IR, operated via a free app for iOS or Android app that serves as both remote keypad and as program guide that learns your preferences (and makes recommendations based on 'em). It also gives you (if you're so inclined) a convenient front-end to your various social accounts, so you can keep your friends up-to-date about your thoughts on the latest installment of Storage Wars.
Interested? We're giving a Peel setup away this week to one lucky reader.
As in last week's Miles Davis Trumpet headphone giveaway, all we ask for in return is a little advice. Let us know what kind of coverage you'd like to see on the site of the rapidly changing universe of TV and video gear and services. More coverage of huge LCDs and plasmas? More detailed calibration charts? More on cutting-edge tech? More on connected TV and digital media receivers? Still interested in those things that spin the shiny pieces of plastic? Let us know what you think we should be looking at.
The winner will be chosen randomly from among those who leave on-topic comments below (you'll have to register — no anonymous commenters, we need a valid e-mail contact address to inform you of your win), so don't be afraid to speak your mind. We'll take entries until midnight (Eastern Time), on October 26th, and notify the winner via e-mail on Friday, October 28th. Good luck!

I would like to see the list of the equipment used when testing. As you well know, not everything sounds the same on all gear, and I would like to have an idea of what to compare.
I, for one, absolutly love your mag....do I call it that since I only read it online? Keep up the great work!
The only other sugestion would be, more reviews. But, without more 'reviewers' would be near impossible. I havent seen any reviews in your mag of any Emotiva equipment and am curious to hear what a pre/pro would sound like on....say a Def Tech set up??? In a medium to large room. With a Pani Blu ray player..................curious.
I am thinking about reinvesting in a new turntable, and would like to know more about what is available, I should have kept my Transcipter.
Too cool!
I think some of you editorials miss the point, but then again I am not supposed to agree with all of them. I would like to see some more receiver, streaming devices, and software reviews. Maybe something on XBMC and the like.
timeline of anticipated developments in LED tv and beyond
I would like to see more about how to get more sound out of the recievers for videogames like they do for movies.
i would like to see more reviews of real world expectations, how tv's look in semi lit rooms, suround sound in irregular shaped rooms etc.
I appreciate the reviews of mid-prices speakers and receivers the most and there should be more of them
I would like to see more product reviews and less stories about music groups.
This is a very ODD looking device. Cool, but odd. I'd love to give it a test drive. I'm very curious to see friends reactions when they see this thing lying about.
Tips on difficult setups like odd room shapes, lighting problems, wiring runs, etc.

I would like to see more information on the whole aspect of downloading movies and transferring them to my big screen LCD. Methods, advantages, dowsides, etc.
Software. Thank-you.
I have looked high and low for more info on surround systems for irregular rooms, etc.
More tests on state of the art audio and video equipment is what I like to read about.
I'd love to see more stories about the incorporation of HTPC's into home theaters.
I'm really interested in learning more about smart tvs
I would like to see more about how to get more sound out of the recievers for videogames like they do for movies.
I would like to see reviews that target low cost products and tips for novices.
Thank you.
I would like to stay updated on 3D equipment.
Been reading Sound and Vision since you started publishing. I knew hardly anything about audio and TV's. Most of what I know now, I learned from this mag. I love the cutting edge AV coverage and introduction of new stuff. Someday I would like a totally whole house integration of all my audio and media and connectivity throughout. It's a process and S&V mag has helped alot. I look foreward to the same high quality coverage of all things audio and visual.
Would like some comparison reviews of blu-ray players with internet streaming, smart TVs, HTIBs, low- to mid-priced speakers and a/v receivers for theatre systems. I'm more interested in products than musical artists; though, the products that some artists use to create their music has made for some interesting feature articles from your publication.
More head-to-head coverage to find the best products in a price range. I'm still looking for quality audio and video products over number of features.
I'd like to see an article, or really a review, in each issue on something that is indirectly part of home entertainment. What's the best tablet from a purely entertainment viewing and sound aspect? What's the best software for managing my media? Comparison of software like Google Music and iCloud.
I'd love to try this.
I'd love to see more details consistently given in reviews of televisions and monitors. For example, reflectivity of the screen. I have a living room that has eight windows as well as french doors, so reflectivity and glare are a major problem to the point of being a deal breaker no matter how good the unit is otherwise. Yet sometimes the reviews don't even mention this. I would think it would matter to some degree to most prospective owners except those who plan on using the units in a darkened media room.
I'd also love to see more reviews of smart phone/iPod apps for the home theater. An article on mixing HDMI upgrades would be nice. When you buy a new TV that has newer HDMI technology that the rest of your setup, just what can you expect? Is the new technology worth scrapping your entire setup?
It's all good.
I would like to know more about media player options for playing FLAC files off a portable hard drive. Along with this, I'd be interested in software for building and maintaining playlists.
I would love to see more of these products.
Like what I see. Keep up what you're doing!
I would like to see side-by-side comparisons of similarly priced or sized TV's.
when it comes to technoledgy I'm basicly clueless, but I would love to be able to buy equipment now and then for my husband. It would be great to see a dumbed down tips for someone like me to make wise choices.

how about coverage of low end equipment? not everyone has the $ for high end systems
I would like to see more reviews of medium to lower priced electronics, i.e. stuff that I can afford, not just stuff I drool over.
While I enjoy building my dreams by reading your magazine, occassional or special reviews on affordable equipment (defined by items you would be able to find at both Best Buy AND a hifi shop) will give me something I can really use!
I am still interested in those things that spin the shiny pieces of plastic, and I think I always will be.
Looks Cool
I´m searching for a new Turntable with: Antiskating system/Pod dock/USB/Dust cover.
Looks amazing
Coverage of LCD's and Plasma's is great, but what about coverage for projectors and sound-systems for them? They can run very high-end, but I'd like to know what is available on the lower-end too.
Info on where to get killer deals on cutting edge hardware and discontinued products
Getting a list of the featured components would help compare similar setups.
I would like to see more iDevice Remote Control Apps reviewed, as well as UPnP/DLNA apps, ala PlugPlayer.
Please keep the magazine coming!. But, please add some content back. A return to the roots of artists interviews is great, but not at the reduction of equipment reviews. You may not remember, but your predecessor when so far as to include flimsy 33-1/3 LPs as inserts for one particular artist. But then it had extensive equipment reviews. It once took me a week to read through the magazine, then a day, and now unless I have my Android phone in the bathroom with me, it takes only a few minutes. I'll admit that I read more quickly than most, but I am missing details even in the web coverage. So, please more. Cut the paper costs, make some of the lithography less slick - horrors? - but give us more coverage.
The only time I take exception with your coverage from a technical viewpoint is for earphones. If you can't measure them, send them to me as I can test according to every applicable ANSI, IEC, and ISO standard - that's not an offer, its a threat. Readers to know as much about how well a set of earphones, be they insert, custom-molded, supra-aural, or circumaural, perform as they do for a set of PSB speakers.
just a crazy looking product but very intriguing. conversation piece/remote/art? i hope it does or will have the future capability to learn all the various products out there on the market.
wow what a strange looking product.Great design,id love to own one.orangechevychevelle@yahoo.com
GREAT
I would like articles that are more about the cutting edge technology. Really anything relating to this stuff I read. I check the site daily, sometimes a few times a day, to see if there is any new articles that seem to be interesting. If title catches my eye then I read the article. Right now it seems that more people are going to be using wireless speakers and more wireless options maybe cover some great wireless options or how to make something wireless and well built to help out those people that want to take advantage of the wireless age.
Maybe have some more articles about how one can work around traditional options for installing and/or using equipment to make it better for them or using it in a way they might have not thought. Basically a do it yourself kind of article for installing and using equipment.
Thanks
an iphone remote. cool!
