Speaker company Thiel Audio is starting to sell its products on Amazon.com, a pretty big departure from the usual retail and custom installer channels the company used in the past. Thiel announced that 9 speakers would be available on the site, spanning the company's line-up.
Thiel's SCS4 and MCS1 loudspeakers are currently available on Amazon, along with http://www.typepad.com/site/blogs/6a00df3521c636883400df352004da8833/pos... company's PowerPlane 1.2 and HigherPlane 1.2 in-wall and in-ceiling speakers and DewPoint outdoor speaker. The announcement also hinted that Amazon will start carrying a new, as-yet-unnamed subwoofer later this year.
