Did you have one of the new $7,000 Mitsubishi on your shopping list for the weekend? Might want to hurry before they sell out. Might be a while before they're re-stocked.
Mitsubishi just issued this statement: MDEA has temporarily suspended production of LASERVUE televisions due
to a problem with manufacturing equipment used to produce LASERVUE TVs.
Mitsubishi Electric engineers are taking the necessary action to ensure
that we resume production as quickly as possible, while maintaining the
highest standards for product quality and reliability. MDEA expects
that production should resume by early 2009.
