Nothing stops a show like an awesome OLED display. Samsung pulled out the stops at the FPD International 2008 Show. Alongside the floppy OLED screen we showed off yesterday, they rolled out a 40-inch OLED screen with specs that will make a videophile weak in the knees.
This is the biggest OLED that's been shown off, and it looks okay for a prototype. We trust it will only get better.
The specs follow.

The HD screen has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 with a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, a color gamut of 107% NTSC, a luminance of 200cd/m2 and it's only 8.9 mm thick.
If this is the direction in which OLED is heading, Samsung is taking it in the right direction. — Leslie Shapiro
