Rush fans...the moment you've all been waiting for has arrived. Not quite like clockwork, but Clockwork Angels is finally and definitely headed your way. The new album, on Anthem/Roadrunner and produced by Nick Raskulinecz (who's worked with Foo Fighters and Deftones) is slated to hit stores June 12. In grand Rush style, this is a concept disc, with a "steampunk" theme wrapped around the familiar trope of a young man chasing a dream in a confusing world. There'll be an accompanying novel (written by Neal Peart in collaboration with sci-fi superstar and prog megafan Kevin J. Anderson.
Can't quite wait for June 12? The first single, "Headlong Flight" will debut April 19th. And a tour will follow (announcement soon).
We'll of course be on the case here at S+V.

Winning this would be great but I will RUSH out and get it no matter the outcome. I've been a follower since 1971, actually my first true concert. I remember it to this day!!! Minot, N. Dakota of all places. Let the music begin! Thanks for listening!
Having S&A, MP Live 2011, and CA all on 180gram Vinyl is "THE" quentsential part of my library. (so is "Mindcrime")oops am i allowed. Anyway, i don't know how it would come across in that format but i would have to say........."Nothing ever sounded better than the "First Time" i cranked S&A 180gram vinyl on my Savard speakers in 2007" !!! RUSH - "Les le Bon Temps Roulle" ........... "Let the GOOD TIMES Roll"
I ordered Clockwork right away in CD format. Disappointed that I did not see a 5.1 version available with all the packaging, and lyric book.
Recently, Heritage by Opeth includes DVD and CD, version. A Dramatic Turn of Event By Dream Theater has DVD and CD also. Rush is even bigger and should do this also.
I even got Steven Wilson's Grace for Drowning in BluRay. Wish more artists would include high resolution formats and extras like videos.
I would like to see all music available in HD but many people, me included, cannot download these big files. I have a relatively slow connection, but even if it was faster I have a limit of 7.5 gb per month. Until issues like these are addressed, there have to be alternatives made available. As USB drives become cheaper, maybe these could be used to replace CDs. They could then be sold at retail outlets as well as on line.
