Roku is finally rolling out the newest Roku Player models. The Roku XD and Roku XDS join the Roku HD in the company's library of Netflix-accessing, streaming-media-playing, Wi-fi-enabled set-top boxes. While the Roku HD is only capable of up to 720p video, the XD and XDS can both output 1080p high-definition video.
In addition to 1080p video, the $80 Roku XD adds 802.11n wireless capabilities and an "instant replay" button. The $100 Roku XDS includes both of those features, plus dual-band Wi-fi, component video and optical audio outputs, and a USB port for reading media off of external drives. However, the USB port won't be able to read external media until a future software update planned for November. All three Roku Players are available now from Roku's web site.
