It’s a backhanded compliment to say that Angela Bettis has a face for horror, but holy moley. Her sunken cheeks and black eyes make her resemble a living Tim Burton sketch, and she uses her assets to full effect in this little-seen but skin-crawling nasty about an alienated girl who decides to stitch together the perfect “friend” out of parts taken from classmates and other unfortunate acquaintances. The movie ends with a scene that breaks your heart as much as it makes your skin crawl – no mean feat.
