NHT has announced an update to its long-running SubZero monitor in the form of the SubZero 2.0. The new speaker has a 4.5-inch pulp cone woofer and a 1-inch silk dome tweeter, and boasts a response range of 100 Hz to 22 KHz. According to NHT, the SubZero 2.0 can handle more power, produces less distortion, and sounds better off-axis than its predecessor.
The SubZero 2.0 will be released alongside the new Super 8 subwoofer, designed to compliment the monitor. It uses an 8-inch driver and a 110-watt amplifier to put out bass sound down to 40 Hz. The SubZero 2.0 will retail for $250 and the Super 8 for $350 when they ship later this month.
