LG's BD300 Blu-ray player is getting an upgrade. I know, it's about time! Joining the likes of Samsung and TiVo, the BD300 is getting a firmware update that give it access to Netflix HD streaming. Woo-hoo.
The upgrade, vBD8.11.480 will also fix a problem on the BD-Live menu.
According to LG, this firmware upgrade will address these issues:
1. Symptom - Netflix HD streaming is not supported.
2. Countermeasure - New firmware will fix the menu flickering when RMC key is served on the BD-Live menu.Early reports are mixed. . .
Some users have had to stop the stream and restart it to get the full HD quality.
