Giveaway: Sonos Play:3 and Bridge Bundle

Would be sweet to win.

default_avatar.png

Still haven't decided on a "final solution" - Sonos is one candidate. Right now have all the music (320k & FLAC) served up from a Synology NAS and accessed either via computers or directly with networked Denon AVR, which gets by, but isn't the most elegant or user-friendly solution. Would love to give this Sonos gear a try!

default_avatar.png

I use Pandora radio with any of three blue ray players each connected to a surround system and my my I-phone usually connected to a system. I also use my networked Direct TV DVR to access music on my main desktop PC to play on any of the three surround systems. It sounds like the Sonos would add music in another room.

default_avatar.png

I don't use a networked music playback system in my home. I had a pre-installed one in an apartment I used to live in, and I never even used it...too complicated!

default_avatar.png

I use Pandora through my Blu Ray and, have the ability to stream through my PS3 but don't... I'd love to try a wireless room system like this though.

default_avatar.png

I have used Airport Express and iTunes to send music around the house. Would love to try out Sonos.

default_avatar.png

I use iTunes’s Internet radio function on my PC to digitally stream live music programming via a Toslink optical cable to an AV receiver, which drives a 3.1 surround sound system.

default_avatar.png

I use a Marantz NA7004 to stream my collections stored on a DLNA server.

default_avatar.png

I currently own a 300 cd from Pioneer, but since owning a new Hyundai with Itunes capability I'd be the first to enjoy it!

default_avatar.png

I've slowly begun setting upa networked system using a Windows PC, a now discontinued Logitech Touch connected by a Toslink cable to my old Sony Home Theater in a Box (their first, I believe). Having read your magazine, I'll be setting up a NAS and a another set of speakers in my kitchen. I'm sort of winging it as sometimes what you write about technically is way beyond me.

I don't as yet but a goal of mine has been to network all the music on my devices and internet radio and have endless capabilities for music throughout the house and yard.

default_avatar.png

Currently do not own or use a networked music system at home but am looking into what it will take to set one up. Right now, Audioengines D2 coupled with their powered 5+ speakers seems like a simple way to start. Will continue learning about options and hope to settle on one that offers very good sound while also offering a reasonable amount of portability.

default_avatar.png

I currently use iTunes with songs imported in Apple lossless format. I stream to other rooms using several Airport Express units and one Apple TV unit for optical input to a receiver. This is managed by Airfoil.

I have friend who has a Sonos setup and I envy the level of control he has across multiple units.

default_avatar.png

it would be SO nice to be able to listen to music from my computer anywhere in my house as it is now we either turn it up loud or listen to the radio.

default_avatar.png

I don't currently have a music system but hope to get one soon

default_avatar.png

I don't have anything yet, but hopefully in the near future.

default_avatar.png

I have looked at this Sonos product for some time. It's not a matter of whether I will be purchasing a networked music system, but rather when. I am also considering a bluetooth speaker for my screened-in porch. I would love to have this Sonos Play:3 bundle.

default_avatar.png

Although I have more than enough digital music on my iphone and Mac, I don't have any form of networked music. Would be nice though.

default_avatar.png

I use an old Mac Mini in my media cabinet to play music on my main stereo system. A Sonus system would make it easy to have music in other rooms.

default_avatar.png

Currently using an old squeezebox in the kitchen and have been debating upgrading to a series of networked devices. Maybe this'll put me over the edge...

default_avatar.png

No networked music system. Play music either from computer or even CDs. Still trying to figure out what direction to head.

default_avatar.png

Would definitely like to integrate a wireless setup one day. Sonos seems to be a decent choice among many. Hopefully Christmas comes early! Thanks sound&vision.

default_avatar.png

Honestly, I currently just have a small battery powered speaker that plugs into whatever audio device I need to be using. I would KILL for a real sound system!

default_avatar.png

I have a Squeezebox Classic with a modded PS connected to a Tube DAC. I stream .flac files throughout the house and outside on the deck. I would like this unit to compare to the SB and if it is better, then it takes over!

I keep seeing these advertised, it really looks awesome!

default_avatar.png

Use the airplay with apple products for streaming. Have heard about the sonos. would be mice to try one

default_avatar.png

I love Sonos! They have intuitive interfaces and great features. I highly recommend Sonos! Not just because I want to win. :)

default_avatar.png

I have iTunes on my PC which I use the stream to my iPad via my home LAN. I then have the iPad wired to my stereo through a patch cord. I can navigate my whole iTunes library via iTunes on the iPad. Seemless with virtually no integration time.

default_avatar.png

I use several different methods to network music around my home:
1. Use AirPlay with Apple remote and or/direct from IOS devices to push Pandora, Spotify, and iTunes match content to several different rooms and audio setups.

2. Use Synology disk station to share high res Flac files and compressed content to an Oppo Bdp-105.

3. Use Music station (synology app) to control my Oppo player via Upnp and stream high res content direct to the balanced analog outs.

4. Use a Mac mini HTPC usb attached to the Oppo player to stream Pandora, Icloud iTunes library, and VLC with iPad remote apps.

5. Use integrated audio sharing and streaming features from blue ray disc players.
6. Use apple TV with toslink out to Oppo player - still experimenting on what sounds best and is easiest to use.

Still wanting to try Sonos! something has to be easier than this.
Thanks

I don't currently have any networked system set up. I would love to - but just moved and didn't have money in the budget to add a system. This Sonos looks like a great way to start!!!!

default_avatar.png

I dont own anything now but would love this

default_avatar.png

I dont own anything now but would love this

default_avatar.png

I do not have anything at this time, but when I win this Sonos system I will be one happy camper, Sonos would be my choice as it integrates into my home automation system very well

default_avatar.png

I don't use anything currently, but have been looking into Apple TV and Sonos recently. Right now it's an iPod plugged into my home theater system. So, yeah, I could use an upgrade.

default_avatar.png

I stream mp3 and flac files (along with photos and videos) from MediaTomb running on an Ubuntu Linux server to other PCs, a Playstation3, and a networked Blu-Ray player.

picture-23-1319481011

I could use this at the hospital where I work! PC music wirelessly!

default_avatar.png

I use J River Media Center to manage my music library. It easily serves as a DLNA server and my new Samsung SmartTV can access it via their AllPlay software. The on-TV app works well EXCEPT it doesn't recognize track numbers, it sorts everything alphabetically by track title! Ridiculous. Fortunately, I can control it remotely via an app on my Android tablet or phone.

I don't have a multi-room solution other than plugging my tablet or phone into the aux port on my radio in the bedroom or home theatre receiver in the basement. The floodgates to wireless music have been opened and I've been looking at Sonos as a solution.

default_avatar.png

I have a Denon receiver that I run EVERYTHING through and have rigged it up to even run portables like an MP3 player. But it really is not optimal with portable devices. I would like something better for that and just use the receiver for games and TV and stuff

default_avatar.png

All of my things are in a storage space until I can find a new place to live, so a compact play 3 would be nice while I stay with family. The ex got my play 5 in the separation :( lol

default_avatar.png

I would like to add something like Sonos since most of my music is now digital, I want to be able to send sound to every room in the house eventually

default_avatar.png

I don't currently have a networked system, but have long had an idea of how I planned to install one. The plan is on hold until after other home improvements are made. My iTunes are all in the computer at this time.

default_avatar.png

I have just moved into a new house and am in the process of trying to set up a system. We have just set up the wireless network and the tevo's. Next step is the computer tied to the sound ystem but I have never done this before. WOuld love to try something like the Sonus.

default_avatar.png

We have several Sonos zones in the house, all fed from a NAS, plus the usual array of network radio and services (especially MOG). Controlled by Sonos, PC, iPod, and iPad controllers, the systems works extremely well. One upgrade I have done is to add a DAC to my main stereo system, bypassing the Sonos built-in DAC. The quality improvement has been impressive.

default_avatar.png

I utilize Sonos throughout the house. I have two 'connect' pieces to ampliers in the living room and in the bedroom with which I feed 5 different listening areas. Then I have one self-amplied unit for my office, which means I have multiple opportunities for programming all over the house. I love the simplicity and qulity of the Sonos products. I use the remote controller and also the Android app with ease. I wish other electronics companies took as much pride in their quality as does Sonos. I gave my best friends the Play 5 for Christmas last year and they love it!

default_avatar.png

We do not currently have a networked system but have been looking at them

default_avatar.png

I just have a rocketfish from best buy wireless 3 thingies that broadcast in the 2.4 ghz frequency but this one would be the upgrade to get if it was not as expensive. Please let me win it and I'll have a subscription for life to your fine magazine that I buy all the time at the store anyway

We have used a TiVo Series 3 HD XL in our home for a few years. This was the response to "cutting the cord" and dumping cable/satellite in lieu of over-the-air HD with DVR features.

The TiVo connects to our home network via wireless-N adapter and plays music and facilitates slide shows of content on networked drives. For improved sound, the TiVo is connected to our Yamaha 5.1 receiver via TOSLINK.

Despite a basic TiVo GUI and very limited functionality (e.g., users navigate via folder tree, cannot build playlists, cannot search, OS recognizes a small number of formats, etc.), this setup serves our simple needs. It provides access to our digital music library and encouraged us to rip many of our CDs. The latter is an ongoing endeavor.

default_avatar.png

We currently do not have a network music system hooked up but we have talked about it. My children love itunes and both have ipads so I know that this system would be great fun for my whole family.

default_avatar.png

We currently don't have this system but I know my kids would enjoy it. They both love itunes and both have ipads. What good fun for the whole family!!!!

default_avatar.png

Yes, I'm using a Sonos system now with two ZP90 players (living room and bedroom), a Play 5 (office), and a Play 3 (for the kids room). Next, the kitchen! The Sonos system is well designed and easy to setup. The Play 5 stand-alone has a lot of clarity and decent lower end - the Play 3 works well in the kids room (but probably wouldn't satisfy me as a stand-alone unit in any of our high-listening areas). The integration with a VERY broad set (all?) key online music services is really nice too -- I'm even streaming from my Murfie account now.
