TiVo's upcoming QWERTY remote is finally seeing some hands-on action, after months of little more than CES hype surrounding the Premiere DVR. The remote is passing through the FCC's test bench in preparation for a final release, and that means up-close pictures showing plenty of details around it.
The remote works over IR for the standard DVR functions, but for the QWERTY keyboard it uses Bluetooth. It's a strange combination, but it means the remote is compatible with your other home theater components while still supporting the TiVo Premiere's Bluetooth keyboard interface. Pricing and availability have yet to be announced.
