In this 1999 sequel, Woody is kidnapped, plunging him and his lovable cohorts into an adventure that's even more entertaining (and technologically advanced) than the first. This two-disc edition's picture was encoded at a higher bit rate than that of the original release, resulting in images with greater definition, presence, and color. The soundtrack, remixed in 6.1 channels by ace engineer Gary Summers, is skillfully balanced and accurately places music and effects around the entire 360º sound field, including the center-rear spot. Among the comprehensive extras are featurettes that cover every aspect of the production, a breezy commentary, hilarious faux flubs, two deleted scenes, animation tests, and a profile of co-writer/co-director John Lasseter.
