This pungent, funny/sad, character-driven show portrays New York City firemen as lovable, completely dysfunctional men and women. They're made even richer by the 35 deleted and extended scenes included in this four-disc set. The 13 episodes of Season 2 have the look of high-def news footage, with lots of minute detail, especially in the outdoor scenes. And crisp, clean soundtracks make intelligent, active use of all channels. Other notable extras include six enjoyable production featurettes and a funny gag reel.
