Just 30 years ago last week, Ian Colquhoun started Axiom Audio in his friend's garage. To commemorate the company's 3 decades of work in audio, it held a birthday party in the Ontario district of Muskoka. 70 Axiom staffers and "friends" of the company, previously just enthusiasts on Axiom's forum, gathered in the Canadian wilderness to celebrate Axiom's 30th birthday and look like the introduction for the greatest audiophile-themed horror movie ever. Instead of a wendigo showing up, there was a live band and they all hanged out at Colquhoun's dock.
Axiom Audio is one of the few Canadian speaker companies that is still privately owned. The company is well-known for its flagship M80 tower loudspeakers.
