It just makes sense. AT&T has an Internet and video bundle called U-verse. The iPhone is an AT&T device. Does it take a genius to connect the two? At a showcase of future technologies, AT&T hinted that, at some point in the future, customers will be able to interface their iPhones with the U-verse world.
What would that mean?

Imagine using your iPhone as a remote control for your home theater. Or checking voice mail from your iPhone on your television. Best yet, how about transferring a TV show from your DVR to your phone?
This is all good for dreamers (some services could be available by the end of this year), but a more realistic goal might be more widespread availability of U-verse across the country. —Leslie Shapiro
